I put an offer in on a home located in NJ. My offer was accepted and then the realtor had an open house and then came back and asked me for best and final.
We finally agreed to price and they gave me a sellers disclosure form that said: "we put solar panels on". Nothing about a lease or lien or 20-year contract with solar company. Nothing about solar at all in the MLS listing, nothing about solar in the sales contract - nothing more than what the homeowner wrote in the seller's disclosure. We were scheduled to close on 11/10/17 and I found out on 11/7/17 that the sellers had a lien on the property - from the solar company who called me to try to get me to accept transfer the lease and lien to me.
The realtor was notified on 10/23/17 and chose to do nothing about it.
They never contacted me or tried to negotiate in any way. I want my inspection fee refunded and travel expenses.
